A Team Effort!
St. Alphonsus Liguori sought to build leadership among the laity, who would participate in the mission of the Redemptorists. Lay collaborators would often be involved in teaching, offering catechesis, and planning opportunities for evangelization and prayer.
In the spirit of Vatican II, and in the tradition of the Redemptorists, we continue to work in collaboration with lay men and women in the Church as full and equal partners in mission.
In Redemptorist Youth and Vocation Ministry (RYVM), we continue this tradition as partners in mission: Laity men and women, and Redemptorists. Throughout the past decades, we have had teams of Redemptorists and lay people (youth, young adults, and adults) working together to reach out and minister to our youth and young adults in the model and spirit of collaboration.
We continue to work in collaboration together to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ to our broken world.
